Meet Kim, Founder of Midlife Vitality
Why I created Midlife Vitality
After decades of working with women in midlife, I began to notice a common thread. Many felt exhausted, invisible, and disconnected from their own bodies. They were navigating a stage full of change, physically and emotionally, but without much real support.
Our culture often treats aging like a decline, subtly urging women to shrink in energy, confidence, and even relevance.
But I see midlife differently.
Not as the beginning of the end, but as the beginning of a powerful new chapter. A time when wisdom, resilience, and lived experience should take center stage. We don’t need to chase youth. We deserve to feel strong, clear, and confident in who we are now.
Again and again, women told me they felt like strangers in their own bodies, dealing with fatigue, joint pain, or simply no longer feeling like themselves. I created Midlife Vitality to change that.
Today, we finally have language for what many of us have felt for years: healthspan, the quality of your years, not just their length. Emerging research continues to show that the choices we make in midlife can profoundly shape how strong, sharp, and independent we remain in the decades ahead.
This is a place to rebuild strength, restore energy, and reconnect with purpose. Whether your goal is to bike across Iowa, keep up with grandkids, or simply move through your day without pain, you don’t have to navigate this chapter alone.
Your best years aren’t behind you. They’re waiting for you to claim them.
My Journey
From Fatigue to Vitality
Like many women I work with, I’ve had to face difficult changes in my own body. I’ve navigated adrenal fatigue, chronic back pain, and now rheumatoid arthritis. I’ve also had two partial knee replacements that didn’t heal the way I hoped. I know what it feels like to feel limited, frustrated, and disconnected from a body that once felt strong and capable.
But I also know the power of small, consistent shifts. Years ago, I resolved daily back pain and debilitating headaches through movement, nutrition, and mindset work. And even now, while still navigating RA, I’ve seen how a brain-body approach, the right support, and a grounded perspective can move things in a better direction.
I’m not here because I figured it all out. I’m here because I’ve lived it. I know what it’s like to want to feel strong again, to want energy that lasts through the day, to want to feel like yourself.
That’s why I created Midlife Vitality, to help women find their way back to strength, clarity, and confidence, one step at a time.
The Experience Behind This Work
This work isn’t something I learned overnight. It’s been shaped by decades of hands-on experience working closely with women navigating midlife and beyond.
Over the past 17+ years, I’ve worked as a fitness director, studio owner, coach, and educator, supporting women through every stage of aging, from strength and mobility to confidence and identity shifts. I’ve led programs in independent living and assisted living communities, worked one-on-one with clients, and taught group classes focused on functional strength, balance, and longevity.
Along the way, I’ve trained extensively in health coaching, functional fitness, and active aging, and I continue to study the evolving science around healthspan, mobility, and lifelong vitality.
But more than any certification, this work has been shaped by thousands of real conversations, real bodies, and real stories. That lived experience is what informs everything I share through Midlife Vitality.
